Process Control Specialist
Irving Forest Products, Inc, a growing company on the leading edge of technology in the sawmill industry.
We are currently seeking a Process Control Specialist for a current opportunity. We are looking for safety oriented, energetic individuals to join our team!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Certified Electrician/Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance Technician or related diploma in relevant field.
- Years of Experience Required: 1-3 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, with PLC knowledge being critical, RSLogix 5000
- Failure and analysis skills
- Mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Strong computer system knowledge such as; AVEVA PI System, Microsoft Office and JD Edwards
- Ability to prioritize tasks to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and participate in cross-functional team environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety compliances programs are being applied within workgroup.
- Supervision of industrial electricians and manage employee schedules.
- Managing of the: planning, scheduling and preparing of work orders.
- Lead and assist with troubleshooting of electrical controls, networking and other areas within the site.
- Assisting with parts and inventory control, payroll, and preparing and submitting daily and weekly reports.
- Monitor and optimize control systems for mill equipment, boilers and dry kilns.
- Troubleshooting and failure analysis skills (formal training preferred)
- Development of the maintenance electrical team members.
- Commitment to top performance in a safe work environment is necessary.
- Ensure productivity, housekeeping and quality of work standards are maintained within the electrical maintenance department.
