Applicants are invited to apply for a post-doctoral opportunity in biostatistics, with an emphasis on Bayesian spatial modeling and disease mapping. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of statistical methodology and the analysis of cancer risk factors and incidence across Atlantic Canada. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide a platform for the successful applicant to build a track record in research funding and publications, and to establish a path toward an independent research career in one or more of the relevant fields mentioned above.
This research offers a valuable opportunity to address methodological challenges associated with modeling disease outcomes in low-density population settings. The work will inform and support efforts toward cancer primary prevention, with findings relevant and transferable to other jurisdictions in Canada and beyond.
