Introduction
IBM Automation is looking for a Portfolio Product Manager to help develop world-class demos, videos, written materials, thought leadership articles and other types of content to highlight the capabilities and selling points of our products. The role requires a unique combination of technologist and communicator. Candidates should have good technical understanding of enterprise software, while also being skilled at communicating the specific capabilities, use cases, features, benefits, and differentiators associated with our products. A working knowledge of at least one of IBM’s Automation products is preferred, as is an understanding of one or more of the key segments within Automation (Business Automation, Integration, IT Automation).
Your Role and Responsibilities

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 5 years of experience in Product Development, Product Management, Product Marketing and/or Technical Consulting in enterprise software or other relevant IT offering area.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Working closely across Product Management and with other product experts, you will:
- Create and deliver professional-quality demos and videos (using a “show me, don’t tell me” approach) that highlight the key capabilities and differentiation of IBM Automation products
- Develop written materials, thought leadership content and technical assets that focus on the key value propositions and technical details of the products
- Partner with Sales, Technical Sales, Marketing and other customer-facing teams to ensure that the technical benefits, differentiators and selling points of our products are communicated effectively to customers and prospects, including in the digital channel
- Create relationships with key Business Partners to help them successfully leverage our content to drive opportunities with their customers

- Strong communication skills, including written skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Cloud concepts
- Work well within matrixed organization; collaborate with multiple stakeholders; get work done.
- Working knowledge of GitHub (and Atom) helpful, but not required
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years of experience in Product Development, Product Management, Product Marketing and/or Technical Consulting in enterprise software or other relevant IT offering area.
- Working understanding of the current market for Business Automation, IT Automation and/or Integration software
- Experience working with clients
- Preferred Education: BS: Computer Science or Business; Master’s: Business, Computer Science or related field
