4th Class Power Engineering certification (or higher)
Two years of experience within an oil and gas operations facility and/or pipelines operations
In depth knowledge in safely depressurizing, purging, pressurizing natural gas and liquid pipeline operating facilities as well as pipeline pigging and integrity processes
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment and that policies are followed
Perform plant operation duties for smooth and efficient operations and ensure shift changes are well communicated
Report and appropriately flag all pipeline facility sites issues beyond your scope to your leader
Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner
Provide direction and supervision to the maintenance and contract personnel as required
Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs
Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning
Maintain housekeeping at a high level to ensure a safe work environment
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Pipelines Voyageur site office North of Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a 12-hour rotation of days (Seven days on / Seven days off)
This position is safety sensitive
Occasional travel to remote locations is required
Relocation support will be provided
You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
