Job Overview
The Pharmacy Operations Lead at SDM6003 - Specialty Health Network, will lead the teams responsible for ensuring our specialty patients receive their medication exactly when and where they need it. The Operations Lead, reporting to the Sr Manager, Specialty Pharmacy will lead the team that is responsible for inventory management, product logistics and courier management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead waste reduction initiatives at Specialty Health Network related to pharmacy inventory and delivery processes
- Ensure optimal stock of inventory of specialty medications at the Pharmacy
- Act as second line escalation with national specialty distributors as required
- Develop work instructions and resources to support the team with daily activities
- Ensures team follows all SOPs and ROPs as they perform daily activities
- Develop and conduct site best practice audits and work with pharmacy leadership team on continuous quality improvement projects
- Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily tasks – receiving products, cycle count etc.
- Provide hands on support of functions under areas of responsibility
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives for areas of responsibility
- Build, establish and maintain open lines of communication with their team, peers, trainers, Managers, and all other areas of the Company to facilitate in learning and problem solving
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every interaction, ensuring quality service is provided to both internal and external clients
- Create logistics vendor cost and performance dashboards and make recommendations to Sr Leadership to optimize logistics provider network
- Participate in enterprise system and technology projects as inventory and logistics SME for the business
- Responsible for hiring, onboard, training and supporting the ongoing growth and development of team members
- Develop Individual Development Plans with all colleagues and provide regular coaching and development opportunities
What you will need:
- Experience in merchandizing, pharmacy, or warehouse operations
- A minimum of three (3) years in people leadership
- Strong attention to details, interpersonal and communication skills including ability to work in a cross-functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Lean Six Sigma training an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
- Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to thrive in a fast pace’s environment
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e., word, excel)
- Experience in MMS and SAP an asset
