Job Description:
Please note this is an Evergreen posting - compensation is subject to change based on experience and weekly scheduled hours vary for each assignment.
Under the direction of the Chair, Allied Health Programs, the Instructor, is responsible for facilitating and guiding learning and providing an effective learning environment for all students across multiple department and programs.
Multiple instructors are required for lab classes held Monday – Friday off campus at Montfort and The Ottawa Hospital - Civic and Riverside Campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Registered with the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) and Canadian Associate of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Bachelor's degree in Health Science or related field of study, graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of recent work experience in diagnostic imaging in a health care environment;
- Teaching experience (including preceptorship experience), preferably in a post- secondary setting is considered an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of educational technologies; experience in the development and delivery of hybrid and online curriculum is considered an asset
- Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
