SEASIDE 2025 BIOL 2601/3219: Flora of Nova Scotia - Summer 2025
(2 – 0.5 positions)
The part-time academics will be responsible for co-teaching the field and lab intensive BIOL 2601.03/BIOL 3219.03, “Flora of Nova Scotia”. The course will be offered during the Summer session, July 5 - 23, 2025, Monday through Saturday, approx. 0905-1655. Responsibilities include all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, field trips, test preparation, and evaluation of tests and reports. The part-time academics will also be responsible for preparing a budget in consultation with the program director and keeping field-related expenses within the approved budget. In addition, the part-time academics may be asked to drive students in vehicles rented by the university. The part-time academic should expect to spend considerable time before and after the official course dates preparing and marking. Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus, or out on field trips if appropriate. This position reports to the Chair of the department.
