OS&D SUPERVISOR

Midland Transport is currently seeking an OS&D Supervisor reporting to the Terminal Manager at the Darthmouth Terminal. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of Transportation and/or Clerical experience required. 
• OS&D and freight movement experience preferred
• AS400 experience an asset but not required
• Able to work within a fast-paced work environment, and multi-task to ensure that the customers, terminal contacts, and US partner's needs are met in a timely fashion
• Self-starter with the motivation and the ability to investigate and resolve as well as proactively correct recognizing the root cause of each OS&D
• Willingness to learn
• Communication, Organizational, and Time Management Skills
• Familiarity with all Microsoft Office Applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and work with the Customers to resolve any OS&D issues
• Investigate and solve any issues with the freight that has been left to your attention from the previous afternoon/midnights shifts work
• Supervise dock check for exception freight daily to rectify any exception freight on the dock throughout the day
• Supervise the AS400 update with the OS&D shipment status
• Answer and assist other Terminals, the Claims department, and the Head office with OS&D issues
• Completing and submitting regular reports
• Work with and take part in customer service functions to ensure Terminal Inbound and Outbound service levels are attained
