The team you will be a part of
Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The Network Infrastructure Optics NMS Technical Support team provides front-line support for NOKIA's Fiber Transmission Network Management platform serving telecom carrier and MSO high-speed transport infrastructure. Working directly with customers in addition to investigative work behind the scenes using NOKIA's labs and available operational and functional knowledge base.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of the team, you will:
- Contribute to server and virtual machine deployments.
- Testbed design and setup using a combination of simulators and real equipment.
- Prepare demos and proof of concept configurations.
Your skills and experience
Education Recommendations
Currently enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer, Software, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with an accredited school in Canada
You have:
- Knowledge of server hardware HP Unix and Red Hat Linux.
- Knowledge of virtual machines.
- Solid communication skills and desire to learn.
It would be nice if you had:
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash/Shell, etc.
- General knowledge of Optical and IP networking.
- Ability to test, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
