The Opportunity
The Regions West Operations Coordinator is accountable for supporting the Leadership Team (includes BUL, Partners, Management, and, Marketing Director) maximizing the value of leaders’ time by proactively identifying and taking accountability for Agricultural, ESG, & Indigenous matters.
The individual in this role will operate with a large degree of autonomy and independently complete high-quality work to meet established goals and:
- Understands business needs, manages service delivery, mitigates issues, and brings solutions.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Agriculture & ESG as it relates to Indigenous sectors
- Liaise with Advisory and Marketing function on key priorities (Agricultural, ESG, & Indigenous)
- Work to support the goals of Reconciliation in Business set by KPMG
- Understands KPMG business processes and proprietary systems in order to execute, or effectively delegate work.
- Handles highly sensitive and confidential information requiring a high level of discretion.
What you will do
Communcations
- Ensures communications are responded to in a timely fashion. Independently actions on routine enquiries and escalates complex enquiries to appropriate parties based on knowledge of practice/structure and work process.
- Supports Advisory leadership with presentations taking bullet point content to create a presentation with some graphics.
- Internal business management of Agricultural, ESG, & Indigenous marketing materials to key stakeholders (ensure Advisory team is aware of latest marketing materials)
- Act as an advisor on communications sent to Indigenous led organizations and clients
- Information management and reporting on thought leadership. Ensuring that stakeholders are up to date with current and accurate information of priority sectors
- Act as a trusted advisor to the BUL on all Agricultural, ESG, & Indigenous matters with a focus on the continued growth of the advisory practice.
- Lead both strategic and operational projects to support the deployment of the BUL’s priorities including strategic initiatives to drive growth (e.g. strategic marketing planning, cross functional collaborative pursuit planning, white-space analysis etc.). Define initiatives with limited information, create a plan and execute on it
- Bring status updates and key decisions to the BUL, providing your recommendations on how to proceed
- Support the BUL with metrics, KPIs, trends and analysis required to understand and maximize growth and profitability of the practice
- Set agendas and attend leadership and strategy meetings. Drive the completion of actions and provide ad hoc support where needed
- Active player in business planning discussions. Work directly with various service line leaders to ensure the BUL’s strategic priorities are embedded into business plans.
- Amplify the voice of the BUL across the Regions West practice by developing a communications strategy and drafting communications on their behalf
- Identify, escalate, and manage issues. Mobilize key action items as required
- Work closely with Finance, Marketing, HR and other internal support functions to ensure the success of initiatives
Business Enablement
- Works with business enablement teams assisting where required, email distribution and internal event communications. Pulling reports from proprietary software.
- Assists with business and account planning process and internal group events.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Advisory Function Leads to address issues, optimize processes, share knowledge, and work as one team.
- Provides backup, project work
- Research on key priorities and grow internal database – with a focus on key sectors (Agricultural, ESG, & Indigenous)
- Update/create thought leadership around key priories
What you bring to the role
- 3+ years of experience in an administration, knowledge management, communications
- Certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree or in business administration, knowledge management, communications, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft Teams. Working knowledge and experience with SharePoint is an asset.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with an ability to grasp business objectives and translate into actionable technical and functional requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and proven knowledge management and project management skills.
- A quick study with proprietary software and processes, with the willingness to learn and prepare various content on several different platforms.
- Resourceful, self-starter with a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic, sound judgement and a collaborative, team-oriented style.
- Results-oriented with track record of achieving goals; strong implementation capability.
