Operations Assistant Student - Winter 2024

 

Atlantic Towing is currently seeking candidates for the position of Operations Coordinator to join our team in Saint John, NB.  Reporting to the Manager Port & Coastal Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational assistance to our Vessel Superintendents and Vessel Crews, maintaining first class customer responsiveness, and adhering to the organization’s safety standards.

 

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Provide assistance in your area of responsibility in accordance and compliance with statutory, regulatory and classification society requirements, while adhering to company policies and commercial commitments.
  • Assist with the monitoring various programs throughout the Tug and Coastal Fleet
  • Work closely with other ATL departments to perform tasks
  • Get involved with Health, Safety & Compliance requirements onboard vessels
  • Work with Superintendents on day to day operational tasks and customer commitments
  • Analysis of operational data

 

Education Requirements – Knowledge & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Business undergraduate degree program
  • In positive academic standing;
  • Valid Driver's License;
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
