About This Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead Sunday to Thursday night shift operations at our Bottling Production Facility in Calgary. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will bring a strong background in food manufacturing, with proven experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality systems, and hands-on mechanical or machine operation skills.

This role is essential to keeping our production lines running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with both regulatory and company standards. We're looking for someone who can step in confidently to help troubleshoot machines, support operators, and understand the technical aspects of the line.

Please note that this is a permanent overnight position, with scheduled hours from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities on the night shift production floor.
  • Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members to ensure optimal performance.
  • Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular crew talks and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Supervise cleaning and sanitization crews in compliance with KORE cleaning standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety and food safety requirements.
  • Manage and adjust cleaning schedules as needed to align with production demands.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all logs and records.
  • Support machine troubleshooting and assist operators in resolving mechanical issues where needed.
  • Review KPIs, implement corrective actions, and drive team performance.
  • Optimize asset utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure seamless communication and transition between shifts and departments.
  • Adhere to and enforce GMP, ISO 9001, OSHA, quality, and food safety standards.
  • Control labor and operating costs within the approved OPEX budget.
  • Temporarily rotate across shifts as needed to support business continuity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and basic quality control principles.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is an asset. #LI-IM1
