Position Summary
We are looking for a software developer to join BlackBerry’s network automation team. You will work closely with the Core Networking teams will have an opportunity to:

Contribute to all stages of the software development life-cycle

Collaborate with team members to improve the operations of BlackBerry networking

RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing automation tools for the networking teams networking teams
Implementing custom network monitoring and reporting
Extending functionality of third party software
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing post secondary education in a related field
Strong knowledge of object oriented software in languages such as Python, PHP or Perl
Knowledge of web application design: HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
Good communication skills
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
Solid understanding of GIT
Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
Experience working in a Linux environment
Understanding of network technologies and devices: routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers
