Adecco is currently hiring a full-time reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join our client’s warehouse team in Scarborough, ON. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility, supporting production lines, and ensuring accurate inventory handling. This role requires you to be experienced in operating a counterbalance forklift and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Pay Rate: $20.32 - $21.12/hour

  • Location: Scarborough, ON

  • Shifts: Days: 7:00am – 3:00pm | Afternoons: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time | Temporary to permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Warehouse Supervisor/Warehouse Lead Hand.

  • Follow & abide by all fork truck safety standards;

  • Move / Deliver materials to, through and from production areas / processes, warehouse, storage, receiving, and shipping areas by hand, pump cart, vacuum lift, jib crane, lift truck or any other safe means necessary.

  • moving pallets from MFG to warehouse and wrap/move pallets around the warehouse and service lines with packaging materials.

  • Put stock away in proper locations.

  • Use counter balance forklift

  • Ability to load / unload trailers.

  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.

  • Utilize the scanning guns to complete timely and accurate inventory transactions.

  • Report any inventory shortages / issues to Management daily.

  • Participate in plant wide physical inventories when scheduled.

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Any other duties required by lead hand and/or management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.

  • Certified/Licensed forklift operator (Counterbalance) a must, Raymond Reach an asset

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced material handling position preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • 3 years’ experience operating the Forklift

  • Industrial experience is a must

  • Experience with changing propane tank

  • Capable of lifting 50lbs.

  • Knowledge of spill cleanups and response, as well as WHMIS/GHS procedures.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
