The KPMG Supply Chain practice provides management advisory services in Supply Chain Planning, Procurement and Physical supply chain (Distribution & Logistics). Our professionals contribute to the reputation of our practice, to its development, and have success on the market by helping clients unlock new potential in their organization. We support our clients to enhance their organization’s performance, grow sustainable value, control their operating costs and increase service levels through practical solutions.
We are looking for a highly versatile Supply Chain Management professional with demonstrated expertise in Supply Chain Planning to join our Toronto Management Consulting practice.
What you will do
Depending on the circumstances for which our services are called upon, professionals in this role can be responsible for:
- Acting as functional Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) or as Engagement Manager as part of a procurement system implementation (S2C, P2P, CLM, SRM, etc.)
- Identifying client sourcing & procurement current practices and comparing to leading practices and evaluating client process and performance gaps
- Elaborating business cases that articulate the value of the opportunity, both from a qualitative and quantitative standpoint through ROI analysis
You will support a team of experienced professionals responsible for designing approaches and fundamental analyses/methodology required in the course of mandates with our clients.
At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work week to fulfill the deliverables and accountability required for their job role. Likewise, people may need extra time to devote to personal matters, and the KPMG approach allows for this agility and flexibility by providing this.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor of Business Administration with major in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Procurement/Sourcing, or equivalent undergraduate degree or Engineering degree, with related work experience.
- in a relevant discipline or MBA will be considered an asset
- Procurement system certifications or accreditations and 2+ years of experience leading platform design are a must (Coupa, Ivalua)
- Demonstrated Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay solutions knowledge and proficiency in configuration (e.g.: Coupa, Ivalua, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Oracle Cloud Procurement etc.), as well as end to end implementation experience of such solutions are a must.
- Experience as an internal or external business advisor, including previous Management Consulting experience with a reputable advisory firm will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience in performance improvement, process re-engineering, cost reduction, supply chain improvement and other transformation initiatives.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to analyze complex business problems, structure and synthesize findings and conclusions.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Comfortable using financial analysis to support business case establishment and quantification of opportunities and business performance, service level impact.
- Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to lead work of other colleagues, coach and contribute to the development of younger practitioners.
- Proficiency with MS-Office, including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project and Visio.
