POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, and annual branch planning for ScotiaMcLeod Full Service Brokerage business line. In addition, provide support for finance-related issues.
    
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Monthly Financial Reporting:    
a)    Oversee and produce the monthly staffing analysis and reporting
b)    Ensure timely delivery of the monthly financial reporting (ie: Interest Margin, Statutory Expenses, Real Estate payments, key metrics, etc)
c)    Prepare monthly and quarterly forecast updates for Senior Management decision making
             ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the financial results

2) ScotiaMcLeod Annual Planning, including
a)    Template development and distribution to ScotiaMcLeod branch and regional managers
b)    Review and reasonability of branch templates
c)    Aggregation and analysis of branch plans to confirm they align with Firm plan targets
d)    Loading into financial system
e)    Prepare annual Strategic Plan, and Stress Testing Plan processes ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of information

3) Assist Senior Manager with special project work and ad-hoc Business analysis to support business strategies, including Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives and operational efficiencies


QUALIFICATIONS
•    Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA) of equivalent experience 
•    The incumbent must be a self-starting, detailed oriented, results-focus and highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines 
•    In-depth knowledge of Wealth Management services and operations, and Advisor programs
•    Strong analytical skills with advanced competencies using Excel 
•    Working knowledge of financial software such as OBI, Hyperion, or Peoplesoft 
•    Must possess very good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with finance and business partners
•    A team player, willing to assist other members of the department
