Job Description:

This position is accountable for:
Administering the compensation program for Sun Life Financial Distribution (SLFD) by providing timely and accurate calculations and payments of commissions and bonuses
Providing compensation training to advisors and internal business partners
Participating and contributing to various projects that DCS is involved in and that impact the SLFD advisor compensation program and administration of it
In this role, you will have 5 direct reports and 10 indirect reports. You will work very closely with the other managers and team leads within Distribution Compensation Services on delivering outstanding service to our advisors.
In this role, you will have considerable interaction with Sun Life Financial Distribution, the district offices, the Regional Vice Presidents, Legal, New Business, Compliance, and other teams within Distribution Compensation Services.
What will you do?
Lead the operational teams that are responsible for the timely and accurate calculations and payments of commissions and bonus payments to our advisors for life, health, and wealth products
Attract, retain and develop outstanding people
Manage workflow and resources effectively and efficiently by ensuring excellent bench strength in the team, constantly looking for process improvements and collaborating with other managers in DCS to deliver outstanding service
Ensure that we always live up to regulatory requirements, compliance requirements, company policy, compensation principles and published service standards
Enhance and follow through on audits and controls for commission payments
Provide guidance and decisions on complex and exceptional situations
Delivery of advisor compensation presentations

Strong people leader with management experience
Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate using proven time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills to be effective when collaborating with various internal teams
Flexible, creative approach to work, willing to challenge the status quo and bring new ideas
Assets:
Familiarity with the Sun Life Financial Distribution network
Experience in financial services

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
