Lead the optimization of the various activities related to mixing, packaging and storage, especially in terms of quality, health, safety and environment, as well as learning and development (skills), set up and use operational excellence processes that help raise standards to a world-class level and will help you accelerate your career to the next level! This position is located out of our Weston facility in North York.
Responsibilities
- Establish strategies that will eliminate wasted time and material loss, as well as lower production costs per case using systems and tools that promote operational excellence.
- Ensure full deployment of identified initiatives in a timely manner.
- Support the business planning process by maintaining data on plant losses and quantifying the savings that could result from improvement projects.
- Identify the major cost reduction projects that should be integrated into the annual business plan.
- Act as a liaison with local and global operational excellence resources to ensure the site at all times follows established standards for implementing operational excellence initiatives.
- Coordinate the integrated management system to ensure that local programs meet necessary ISO standards and that these programs are continually improved at the plant.
- Encourage compliance with regulatory requirements for quality, health, safety and the environment, as well as factory certification standards.
- Ensure that ongoing training and development is aligned with the plant's people strategy and that it is implemented in a way that enables employees to realize their potential.
- Proactively lead the implementation of best practices that improve employee health and safety, development, quality for customers and a constant desire to implement and sustain improvements across the business factory, exerting their influence on the management team and at all levels of the organization.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of site management systems by regularly coordinating internal and external audit
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in administration or in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2-4 years of managerial experience, proven leadership skills in a teamwork environment.
