Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
- Attending training as needed to ensure high quality standards and efficiency.
- Identify areas for process improvements within the AML Governance and Reporting function, escalating any areas of concern
- Assist with design and implementation of operational risk mitigating initiatives
- Acting as an advisor to line of business regarding implementation and remediation of AML controls and escalating AML related issues and concerns to business management in a timely manner;
- Maintaining strong working relationships with AML, OFAC Compliance, business units and client onboarding with emphasis on the onboarding and periodic review population data.
- Understanding large population data and to summarize in a clear, concise manner in reports
- Ability to scrub and manipulate data sets.
- Ability to identify, analyze and interpret trends and/or patterns in data sets, and produce summaries or dashboards for communication, consumption and understanding;
- Act as Data and Reporting SME and ability to use various tools including but not limited to, Excel, Access, and/or Power BI,
- Collaborating with business line management to analyze processes and procedures regarding implementation to maintain the business line AML Program, including customer on-boarding, customer refresh, name screening.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of AML, KYC and OFAC regulations;
- Providing quality assurance over various controls;
- Periodically reconciling business line metrics and key risk indicators;
- Preparing reports on quality assurance findings;
- Working with management to produce and prioritize data, information and reporting needs on team and KYC metrics
- Producing and maintaining various macro or formula driven templates
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions;
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct;
Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd love to work with you, if you have:
- At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Master's degree, recognized professional designation in a specialized area of finance or business, or equivalent, is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in financial services and/or AML/KYC
- ACAMS certified (preferred)
- Proficient in Access, PowerPoint, Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) and Power BI (or other data visualization tool). Working knowledge of SQL and VBA is a plus
- Knowledge of businesses, products, and operations.
- Possess strong communication (written & oral), analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- High organizational skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment and manage multiple priorities
- Creative problem solving and implement unique solution in a collaborative environment
