The Financial Crime Practice is a Deloitte business in Canada, looking for Technology / Analytics professionals to join us on our mission to help build the most innovative technology and analytics solutions to combat Financial Crime (e.g. Money Laundering, Fraud).
What will your typical day look like?
As a manager some of your duties will include but not limited to:
Project Management
- Oversee the data analytics lifecycle of client engagements with a teams of data analytics and SMEs, and ensure insights align with business objectives
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables, and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Client Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project sponsors.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and outcomes effectively to ensure alignment and buy-in from all parties involved.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' existing technology systems, processes, and infrastructure.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients including best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and refine our consulting methodologies, tools, and frameworks to drive innovation and excellence in service delivery.
- Share knowledge and insights with colleagues through training sessions, workshops, and internal knowledge-sharing platforms.
Solution Development
- Leading code reviews to enforce project standards and ensure a high bar for both technical and overall solution quality.
- Mentoring and guiding other engineers toward best practices and serving as a technical resource.

Drawing on our global network of intelligence analysts and advanced analytics technology, we can quickly and efficiently gain an understanding of your exposure. This allows us to give you useful and actionable advice across your organization.

You are someone who is/has:
- A curious and open mind, keen on delivering the best solution to our clients
- Interested in understanding the problem statement, and use cases of Financial Crime (e.g. Fraud, Money Laundering) and apply this knowledge in your every-day design and development of data solutions
- Proficient in data analysis languages such as SQL, Python
- General knowledge of data warehouse design patterns and data development tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience leading analytics projects with proven track of delivery insights and client impact
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $144,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
