About the role
We are looking for a Manager Facilities to join our growing team!
Now more than ever, you and your team will play a key role in ensuring that our workplaces are environments where our people feel safe, integrated, connected and inspired to give their best. This position requires 5 days in the office and occasional travel to other location office.
What you'll do here:
Lead, manage and support all aspects of facilities management, including building reception, security, meeting rooms and catering services.
Manage the relocation and ongoing alignment of the real estate portfolio.
Manage transactions and reporting.
Lead and mentor a team of 20+ experts across multiple locations. You will develop emerging leaders, be invested in your team's engagement and support your managers to do the same.
Collaborate with Intact's leadership team to plan and implement strategic return to office initiatives following a pandemic.
Develop and manage regional budgets and reporting requirements.
Manage external relationships, including landlords, real estate agents and suppliers.
Identify, evaluate and support internal process improvement opportunities.
What you bring:
Undergraduate degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
5+ years of management experience, including the ability to motivate and engage a team.
Solid knowledge and experience in facilities and real estate management, including transactional negotiations.
Experience in managing relationships with external suppliers.
Experience in managing multi-office operations
Excellent planning and organizational skills - certification or experience in project management is an asset
Excellent customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.
Creative spirit, exceptional decision-making skills and willingness to keep abreast of new trends in real estate.
Ability to work under pressure, adapting approach and work to an unexpected or unpredictable situation.
No Canadian work experience is required, but candidates must have the right to work in Canada.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country
