Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Management & Reporting, the Manager, Data Management & Reporting provides support in the preparation of data and maintenance of technology components of the International Business (IB) Finance - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) suite of reports. The Manager produces using various systems and use of technology to deliver the reports enabling the financial planning and analysis processes.

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Support in data management activities related to Finance FP&A such as data mapping, data quality/integrity testing, data analytics and data governance such as:
    • Testing and ensure alignment of the data and reports produced for completeness
    • Manage effective control accounting processes and source feeds (systems or manual)
  • Design and develop/enhance innovative reporting solutions to support IB Finance group using Power BI and provide analytical and business insights
  • Respond to ad-hoc investigations, inquiries, data, and report requests as assigned
  • Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise in data and reporting infrastructure design, configuration, and optimization, providing recommendations on approach and execution
  • Test and validate (QA) new and existing reports and analytics for adherence to business and technical requirements.
  • Maintains effective controls over the accounting processes to ensure the reliability of the financial records and investigates any significant and/or unusual variance or questionable trends 
  • Coordinate with IT&S on systems maintenance requirements such as CRFs, process rollover, and other COFA governance
  • Support country finance teams to resolve systems issues inquiries, internal reports
  • Actively seeks and evaluates opportunities to improve existing processes and works with key stakeholders to implement changes as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency through automation and systems improvements; increases departmental knowledge through training and cross-training. 

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • 3+ years of experience of financial reporting ideally in financial institutions
  • Degree in Finance, working towards or having CPA or other accounting designation is a plus
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau 
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion and Essbase and SmartView
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and VBA
  • Knowledge of data management, aggregation and analysis techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures
