As the Manager, Cyber Security, and IT Risk, you will contribute to the overall successful development and execution of a second line of defense program for Cyber Security and IT risk. You will help the first line of defense teams prepare and respond to the ever-changing cyber thread and technology landscape while ensuring all operates within the Bank’s Cyber Security and Technology risk appetite levels.
The Bank’s global IT operation consists of over 3000 applications and more than 250,000 technology components across various global sites which are security monitored through the Bank’s centralized Security Operations Centre.
What you'll do in this role?
- Assess and understand the Banks technology environments and behavior and be able to carry out quantitative analysis of technology and cyber threats that can disrupt global IT systems operations as well as business processes supporting the Bank’s multiple delivery channels.
- Deliver objective evaluation and oversight of the IT and Cyber Security risk management practices carried out by the first line of defense to ensure that the Bank’s processes and controls are sufficient to maintain consistent operation of systems and keep the Bank safe.
- Execute deep dive analysis of specific IT and Cyber Security risk areas and provide opinion and recommendations.
- Guide IT, Security and other control functions on Cyber Security and IT Risk management processes, systems and reviews. Provide advice relating to policies frameworks, standards and control objectives; and ultimately build and sustain a risk aware culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure information sharing and support complementary and contrasting risk oversight initiatives as appropriate
- Help develop metrics to identify, quantify and anticipate the technology and cyber security risk level the Bank is exposed to and need to be prepared for.
You will be a key to help prepare the Bank to adequately be able to respond to the ever-changing technology and cyber security landscape.
What we're looking for?
- Degree in technology, engineering, mathematics, or science
- 3+ years’ experience in consulting and advisory roles.
- 5+ Experience in the Information Technology and security Industry.
- Experience with IT Operations, infrastructure, Information/Cybersecurity risk experience. Subject matter expertise is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data in order to arrive at succinct messages and conclusions.
- Experience with data analysis, preferable with statistical modeling and data science methods
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and relationship-building skills to deal with senior levels of management, local and remote business partners and regional risk teams.
- Experience using COBIT, ITIL and other IT Operation specific industry frameworks.
- Professional certifications and membership of associations such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc. are an asset.
- Must have a proven demonstrated practice in leading and executing change initiatives
- Spanish proficiency is required
