What you'll be doing.
Contributes to the overall success of the Change Management Office and Global HR Services by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Design and implement change management strategies that support large, complex initiatives under the guidance of the Senior Manager.
• Lead end-to-end change management activities and processes for small to medium scale initiatives or for specific change management workstreams within a large project globally.
• Support planning and execution of change management tactics including awareness, communications, training, readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement etc.
• Partner with GHR teams, and other key stakeholders to assist with the development and deployment of change management strategies.
• Develop, research, and prepare content for internal audiences using various formats and internal communications channels.
• Other ad hoc project work as required from time to time.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 3+ years of related experience, primarily in project and change management, communications.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related discipline.
- Keen sense of storytelling, paired with superior writing and editing skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally, easily switch between creative writing/story-telling and tactical writing in English and Spanish.
- Strong knowledge of Change Management and industry trends.
- Track record of supporting strategic project and change plans that drive measurable business results.
- Strong presentation skills, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills are essential.
- Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships across many diverse stakeholder groups including Senior Executives.
- A positive attitude, a desire to learn, a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get work done either independently or as part of a team.
- Change Management Certification is an asset.
