Adecco is currently seeking a proficient and dependable full-time Long Haul Dispatcher to join our client, a prominent Canadian industry leader specializing in Audio, Lighting, Video & Transportation services, located in Burnaby, BC. The preferred candidate will bring extensive experience in cross-border transportation between Canada and the USA, encompassing Production Transportation, General Freight, dry van, and reefer operations for both FTL and LTL commodities. Additionally, a successful track record in cultivating business relationships is highly desirable.

- Pay rate: $26-33/hr.
- Location: Burnaby, BC
- Shifts: Mon-Fri | 8:00 am-5 pm PST

- Dispatch up to 25 trucks at a time
- Develop and build relationships with all current and future customers
- Complete cross-border paperwork for ACE, ACI, PAPS and PARS
- Ensure on-time services are meeting customer expectations
- Assign trips and movements in the TMS. “Tailwind”
- Maximize daily and weekly load planning through HOS optimization
- Maintain and run dispatch reports
- Communicate daily with company drivers and owner operators.
- Work within tight schedules, daily fluctuations in volume, and improvise to assure a timely and safe delivery
- Manage drug testing program for DOT compliance
- Provide onboarding training for new Team Members
- Collaborate with Sales ensuring execution of capacity requirements.
- Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities as required
- Logistics Diploma CITT, PLOG, or CCLP is desirable
- Previous experience in Leading and Supporting a Transportation Fleet Team is a must
- Minimum three years of CND/USA cross-border experience
- Deep knowledge of Fleet TMS Software, GEOTAB, Tailwind etc
- Experience in the transportation of Dangerous Goods is an asset
- Working knowledge of ELD/HOS and all DOT Canada & USA rules and regulations
- Previous experience in managing departmental key performance indicators
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
