The Loan Administration Specialist is part of the Automotive Financing Group (AFG) and is responsible to provide strong knowledge and support to loan administration, funding, maintenance and servicing of NBC Automotive Finance Group’s loan portfolio.  This role will contribute and support the AFG team to drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, and strong data integrity.

Your role: 

  • Provide support and contribute to the progress of continuous improvement of all AFG credit support processes specific to loan administration, maintenance, and funding.  
  • Support and maintain the processes which lead to consistent and predictable daily credit support outcomes for the group.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and quality benchmarks for credit support are being met
  • Ensure contributions to loan administration comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures to ensure the AFG are able to continue to deliver a high level of customer service.   
  • Accountability as the team member for the execution of work procedures, policies and methods to ensure compliance with National Bank’s legal, regulatory business policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to all AFG team members while corresponding
  • Establish a collaborative and client-centric relationship with the AFG team while balancing the efficiencies and governance of a standardized structure.
  • Actively participate in team weekly/monthly meetings which communicate progress of team, department goals and objectives, as well as team issues.
  • Areas of responsibility and direct support:
    • Maintenance (Payments/payouts, Bank confirmations, Renewals, Leases, Annual reviews)
    • Fundings (Loans, Draws, Fees)
    • Monthly statements (Lease master lines)

Prerequisites:

  • Diploma in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 1-5 years credit support experience
  • Strong knowledge of loan administration, collateral securities and credit processes
  • Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders – relationship managers, branch support, and credit support.
  • Customer focused with strong working knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, compliance issues, collateral securities and audit requirements.
  • Ability to identify efficiencies and continuous improvement in processes aligned with corporate culture.
  • Ability to solve problems and ability to diffuse challenging situations and find common ground.
