This is your opportunity. 

Act as legal counsel on behalf of Intact Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries, primarily in the areas of securities law, investments, finance, treasury and capital management in the context of governance and public disclosure.
Analyse, draft and negotiate various service and distribution contracts and all other contractual documents.
Provide legal advice to internal clients on various matters touching on securities law, derivatives and investment management.
Ensure the integrity of legal and regulatory aspects applicable to the company, its subsidiaries and its clients. Ensure that the requirements and values of the organization are respected.
Participate in different national strategic projects, in collaboration with the Manager or Vice President of the Law Department, where appropriate.

Your Skills

Member of the Barreau du Québec.
2 to 4 years’ experience at a large law firm or large in-house department, in corporate and/or securities law
Experience in derivatives an asset
Bilingual with excellent skills in drafting, negotiation and communication both in French and English
Confidence managing files independently with minimal support
Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Knowledge of SEDAR, NRD and SEDI an asset
Sound judgement and the ability to assess the practical implications of legal risks
Capacity to prioritize and handle several files at once
Collaborative spirit and team player
Ability to proactively propose innovative business solutions
Ability to build relationships with business units and stakeholders and influence decision making at the operational and corporate level
