BC Assessment is currently looking for a permanent Learning Coordinator to join our Learning Centre team in the People Division. This position is based out of our Uptown office in Victoria, BC. In addition, an eligibility list may be established to fill a 6 month temporary position.

Job Overview
Reporting to the Program Lead, Learning Centre, the Learning Coordinator is accountable for the development, implementation and evaluation of learning opportunities for employees and stakeholders within BC Assessment. The Learning Coordinator works with trainers, managers, employees, and other Learning Centre staff to ensure the consistent application of standards, policies and procedures for all learning sessions.
We are looking for a learning professional. Someone who is passionate about emerging education technology trends and ensuring that the learning products we build and deliver to our employees enable them to be world class in their work. You should have experience and knowledge in the field of adult learning and are comfortable in LMS systems and other EdTech.
You must have strong communication skills and can maintain positive working relations with individuals and groups internally and outside of BCA. You are capable of juggling multiple projects and priorities. You can bounce between managing contracts and finances, and teaching sessions and engaging learners.
Key Accountabilities
Leads and organizes curriculum development committees to identify needs, develop, revise and/or deliver established corporate learning programs which include formal and informal learning.
Recruits, orients and coaches staff who act as trainers and Subject Matter Experts.
Identifies the best instructional and delivery models and methods to achieve objectives.
Develops, implements and monitors evaluation processes to ensure learning and professional development approaches are effective and achieve desired results
Identifies external consultants to develop and/or deliver learning programs and services, and procures, negotiates and manages contracts to ensure the delivery of professional services.
Works from an established budget to prioritize, plan, maintain, coordinate and communicate the implementation of the corporate learning calendar.
Responds to inquiries from the field and Head Office relating to learning needs, programs and services.
Coordinates tracking of corporate learning measures, and develops reports and statistics as required.
Liaises with contractors and SMEs to oversee the development, enhancement and maintenance of learning materials including participant and instructor guides, presentations, registration information, and eLearning courses.
Manages and coordinates registrations and confirmations, participant list registry, and the Learning Management System (when implemented).
Facilitates the delivery of Employee Orientation sessions.
Oversees the design, writes content and monitors the effectiveness and relevance of the Learning Centre Website.
Attends learning to audit the content and/or quality of delivery and takes appropriate corrective action to ensure the quality of learning activities.
Implements and monitors learning contracts, vendor procurement and vendor selection.
Oversees content management and monitors the effectiveness and relevance of the Learning Centre Website.
This position is an excluded from the bargaining unit.

Compensation: $65,466.34 - $76,927.30

Qualifications
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education
Successful completion of a related degree, diploma or certificate such as Human Resources, Leadership and Learning, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development or Adult Education.
Experience
A minimum of two years increasingly responsible, related adult learning or corporate training centre experience, preferably in a public sector environment.
Fluency in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Blackboard, Moodle or Workday Learning and other educational technologies.
