Lead Solution Architect – Corporate Systems Risk IT
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Risk IT Architecture team undertakes multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives such large regulatory programs, both in Canada and in the US. In this role you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing successful implementation of the above mentioned programs. The Architect role develops the solution architecture, ensures alignment with the Enterprise and GRM strategy and roadmaps. Provides forward looking technical solutions. This role will also be deeply involved in our cloud migration strategy.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Developing, socializing, and presenting to the relevant ARBs for approval architecture blueprints for large program, both regulatory and strategic
- Participate and provide oversight and expertise as a SME in ARB forums, Data Decision Authorities, Design Authorities
- Help in developing and managing Corporate System 5 year IT roadmaps and strategies
- Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate
- Manage IIPM as Lead architect for your areas and Athena submissions for all programs under your purview
- Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
- Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
- Contribute to ongoing administrative program activities as required.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Solution Architecture experience 3 – 5 years.
- Demonstrated ability in developing architectural blueprints
- Strong written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
- Ability to grasp end to end processes and requirements to develop best in class solutions
- A strong understanding of technology and financial services industry.
- An understanding of cloud architecture and migration patterns
Nice-to-have:
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
