We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect with hands-on experience in Databricks to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data strategies that support our banking operations and transformational programs. You will be reporting to the AVP, Data & Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and construct scalable data architectures using Databricks and other cloud-based solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models that support data analytics and business intelligence activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and meet data requirements for various banking projects.
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards in the banking industry.
- Optimize data flow and collection to improve data accuracy and value.
- Lead the migration of data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Data Architect, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with cloud services, preferably Azure, and familiarity with banking industry standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala, and experience with Apache Spark.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
