As a Key Account Manager you will partner through an account management approach with B.C. and/or Alberta Hospitals and LTC Pharmacies and care providers to ensure the growth of GSK Brands across Hospitals /Long Term Care Institutions (including utilization protocol & discharge protocols). The Key Account Manager will also support initiatives with a cross functional team, at enhancing market access for our respiratory medicines in B.C. and/or Alberta.
The candidate will have to work with a diverse cross functional team to come up with unique solutions in order to develop and execute comprehensive, innovative strategic action plans for each of these institutions in order to achieve desired business results.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with all cross-functional teams to participate in the development of the Hospital/LT Care Reimbursement Strategy, develop innovative solutions and ensure that all GSK resources are aligned to maximize growth for GSK
- Build & leverage strong relationships with diverse groups of key decision makers within the B.C. and/or Alberta Hospital Networks/Hospitals, LTC Pharmacy banners to positively impact business objectives & enhance corporate reputation
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- 3+ years experience in a related hospital sales manager and/or a Key Account Manager Role in Pharmaceuticals/Medical Devices
- Strong working knowledge of either the B.C. and/or Alberta healthcare system, hospital landscape and the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong track record of delivering results in a quickly evolving and fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive, innovative and strategic action plans
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Willingness to travel within the entire province of BC/Alberta to aim for 60%+ face to face account management.
Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the ability to thrive in an ambiguous and diversified environment, have a sense of urgency, leadership and self-starting initiative to:
- Previous experience working directly with Hospital/LTC accounts and specifically a successful track record relating to leveraging Hospital Formulary Reimbursement
- The candidate can be located in B.C. or Alberta and depending on their background will focus their work in the appropriate province linked to their background/strengths.
