Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Field Services Coordinator to join our Transportation and Infrastructure team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to construction activities at the worksites.
- Studies drawings and specifications issued to the field and reports to Construction Manager ambiguities, interferences or errors found on drawings, specifications and assigned work.
- Coordinating project documentation, which includes meeting minutes, job opening form, change orders / site instructions, owner's instructions, shop drawings and drawing log, progress claims, and field notices.
- Assisting the project team by taking initiatives to minimize and complete tasks and ensure accurate document control practices and procedures are followed.
- Support project teams through communication, coordination, and follow-up with trades and stakeholders.
- Ensures QA/QC with applicable codes, manufacturer’s instructions, vendor drawings and installation procedures required for fieldwork.
- Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and should be a critical thinker.
- Should possess good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks depending upon the emergency situations.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office Tools, MS Project
- Team Player, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under tight schedule
- Ability to understand contract fundamentals, OPSS, CSA, Metrolinx, MTO and other applicable standards
- Have valid Ontario driver's “G” license and access to a personal vehicle for travel
Education and Experience
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- EIT designation is an asset
- Experience in Construction Inspection, Supervision, Quality Control &Assurance
- Experience in the field of Transportation, Structural & Geotechnical Engineering will be an asset
