WHAT YOU’LL DO
Develop category and sourcing strategies in alignment with Company goals for reducing costs, driving value and reducing risk.
Create and lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams to support category strategies and cost and risk reduction initiatives.
Execute category and sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFXs, including development of requirements, objectives, supplier selection criteria and quantitative supplier selection.
Identify and execute cost reduction strategies.
Drive consolidation and rationalization of category spend and supplier base.
Identify benchmarks for supplier pricing and performance metrics.
Lead or support supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management.
Proactively manage supplier contract renewals with a focus on improving increasing value to the company and unfavorable terms.
Identify and communicate contract and supplier risks and work with stakeholders to develop tactics and strategies for risk mitigation.
Develop negotiation strategies in alignment with category strategy and stakeholder and company goals.
Measure and monitor supplier performance and work with stakeholders to drive continuous supplier improvement.
Measure and report status of category strategy execution, cost reduction activities, progress against goals and supplier performance around KPIs / SLAs.
Role model adherence and carry out duties in alignment with the Supplier Management Office governance model.
Demonstrate ability to build strong trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain ongoing relationships with active suppliers and build relationships with potential future suppliers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Education :
Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Finance or Information Security
Master’s degree and CPSM/CPIM certification a plus
Experience :
7+ Years of experience in IT Category Management and Strategic Sourcing
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple changing and competing priorities.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Knowledge and skills:
Strong category management and strategic sourcing experience for global IT categories (software / SaaS, infra and cloud, telecom and professional services).
Experience working under an established Supplier Management Office (SMO) governance model.
Ability to clearly articulate value propositions and expected outcomes.
Keen understanding of evaluating deals based on investment, expected return and risk.
Demonstrate awareness of internal and external dynamics and their impact on the company.
Understand the various components of the entire supplier life cycle.
Knowledge of trends related to contracting, licensing models, and supplier approaches to revenue growth.
Ability to complete cost and financial models as part of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) development.
Strong negotiation skills with suppliers ranging in size from small / local organizations up to global enterprise suppliers .
Skilled understanding and interpretation of complex terms and conditions in agreements such as MSAs and DPAs.
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across an organization.
Language skills:
Bilingualism is mandatory (French and English) in both writing and speaking.
