Job Summary

The Liquid & Macro Credit Group is looking for a student intern for the liquid credit segment. This group focuses on actively trading investment grade & high yield credit, including bonds, loans, credit default swaps and related indices. The role will be twofold: first, the candidate will assist the team with day-to-day activities related to analysis and monitoring the portfolio; second, depending on the candidate, they will conduct a long-term project over the term such as a sector review, designing modeling tools for trade ideas or building portfolio monitoring tools.
Successful candidates will:
Have a keen interest in investments, particularly credit; enrolled in Finance or related discipline
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Possess excellent Microsoft Office and basic programming skills
Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at university.
Have aptitude for analyzing financial documents such as credit agreements and summarizing pertinent information
Work well in a dynamic, fast-moving team-based environment
Be an enthusiastic self-starter, with an urgency to get things done.
Have a demonstrated aptitude for data analysis and reporting.
Be curious about and have an interest in applying research and technology in the context of understanding markets and building portfolio systems.
Be a quick learner with technology.
Return to their studies after the work term is completed.
Job Requirements
Enrolled in a University degree, pursuing a major in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or Math
Successful completion of one to two co-op terms/internships
Previous experience working in a bank, hedge fund, pension fund or asset manager would be beneficial
Well acquainted with Bloomberg tools and Excel
Positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
The expected hourly rate range for this role is $26.00 to $40.00
