We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Manager to lead and implement our national internal communications strategy, acting as a key resource for advice and support in the context of internal strategic communication, ensuring employee engagement, awareness and understanding of our business strategy.

What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee and support national internal communications, ensuring that important updates, changes and news are communicated clearly, effectively and in a timely manner to all employees through various channels
- Create engaging written content for various platforms, including newsletters, emails, intranet articles and others, to effectively convey project updates, milestones and important information
- Produce creative, customized communication strategies, leveraging vehicles such as print and digital publications, email campaigns and other culture-building tools to engage, inform and inspire our internal audiences and support the various divisions of Homewood
- Support and work closely with the HR team to promote and deliver key HR programs and initiatives
- Lead content and editorial direction for the intranet news streams, newsletter and other communication vehicles
- Manage junior team member, including providing coaching, learning and development opportunities and oversee the workload remotely
- Measure and evaluate employee communication deliverables and identify opportunities for continuous development
- Act as an advisor to the Senior Management and Executive teams for organizational communication writing and planning to support business objectives and the organization during highly sensitive events
- Develop and maintain the company intranet, internal TVs and other platforms
- Own and develop internal communications policies and procedures across the organization
What you bring:
- Bachelor degree in Communications, Business, Journalism, English or related field
- Five plus years’ experience in internal or corporate communications or marketing
- Experience with delivering communication initiatives in a national or multi-location organization, with diverse employee groups
- Experience in health care, treatment centre or other medical/clinical environment would be an asset
- Strategic thinker and communicator, able to interact with and understand the needs of different stakeholders in a variety of locations and time zones
- Strong consulting skills with sound judgment and the ability to make quick decisions
- Experience with managing employee intranets or other content management system, specifically administration of pages, workflows, permissions, content owners, etc.
- Writing and editing skills in a variety of styles and voices, with experience in content development for business, marketing, online and internal vehicles
- Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills; French language skills will be a strong asset
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and skilled at handling confidential, sensitive information with discretion
- Experience or ability to work with remote teams and management across Canada
- Professional and engaging, excellent at building relationships across diverse groups to inform effective and strategic communications
- Capable of navigating and operating within a fast-paced environment, dealing with emerging priorities and working within tight timelines
- Experience managing or leading a small team and developing junior employees would be an asset
- Strong proficiency with MS Office; graphic and video design experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc.) considered a key asset
