The Opportunity

January 2024 – August or December 2024

Got a passion for learning, creating & communicating? In this role, you will support of day to day operations of the Training & Coaching team as well as various projects, including a new digital learning platform. 

Who you’ll work with

Reporting to the Manager, Training & Coaching, you will work amongst a team of 8 experts in learning design, instruction, coaching & evaluation.  

 

The Training & Coaching team provides support for Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan-Member Services staff, including classroom & virtual training, documentation, issue investigation, hotline support, needs analysis, evaluation & coaching. 

 

We train and coach a wide variety of topics from pension plan rules, legislation, administration and manual benefit calculations, to internal systems/applications, and plan member/employer experience.  

What you’ll do

  • Communicate with key stakeholders 

  • Support development of our digital learning platform 

  • Convert content for digital delivery 

  • Assist in the ideation, design and creation of e-learning solutions  

  • Support development of taxonomy, documentation, best practices 

  • Create / maintain documents & reports 

  • Respond to inquiries from internal staff 

  • Investigate / escalate complex issues  

  • Assist in development / delivery of training solutions 

What you’ll need

  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Digital Design or other field with emphasis on creative content authoring, documentation, organization, communication and problem solving 

  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) 

  • Effective team player  

  • Experience in research & analysis an asset    

  • Visual and design skills 

  • Comfortable with the use of new tools and technology   

  • Open to working cross functionally and with individuals at all levels of the organization 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to distil insights, assess opportunities.
