Who you’ll work with
We are looking to fill one internship position in our Global Trading Research & Analytics and Beta team within Capital Markets. You will be working within two teams, the Global Trading Research & Analytics team which sit within OTPP’s trading desk focusing on the optimizing our cross asset trade execution to minimizing costs. As well as the Beta team who help manage the total funds $150 billion asset mix portfolio.
What you'll do
As an intern within Capital Markets, you'll be empowered to fully engage with your OTPP experience from Day 1, actively participating and posing questions. Our program fosters intern growth, providing a distinctive opportunity for direct exposure to institutional markets. Throughout the internship, you'll collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, traders, and portfolio managers spanning various asset classes. This role offers extensive hands-on involvement across global markets, encompassing equities, commodities, fixed income, and FX. The trading floor dynamic ensures each day is unique, demanding real-time teamwork and creative solutions. Your role as a team member involves contributing to the resolution of spontaneous challenges.
What you'll need
- Currently in your 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate studies or pursuing graduate studies.
- Possess a natural curiosity and a proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and inquiry.
- Display keen interest in finance and a penchant for research within the global markets.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, Java, and others.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in diverse methodologies including statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and machine learning.
- While your specific field of study is flexible, we encourage applications from those with a strong academic record and a shared enthusiasm for financial markets.
