A day in the life:
- You’ll be managing and coordinating projects including providing technical support and report preparation (Phase I and II ESAs, excess soil management, landfill and site groundwater monitoring programs, and remediation projects).
- You’ll support transactional due diligence projects and portfolios including technically demanding projects with multi-disciplinary teams and tight timelines;
- You’ll ensure that you maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing and emerging environmental regulatory requirements and best practices;
- You’ll strive to deliver high quality environmental services to our Clients keeping to agreed budgets and deadlines;
- You’ll prepare and support proposal preparation
- You’ll provide oversight and mentoring to more junior staff
- You’ll liaison with clients, regulators and subcontractors
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- University Degree in a related field such as environmental science, geology, geography, hydrogeology or environmental/civil engineering and designation as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.);
- Registered as a Qualified Person (QP) for Environmental Site Assessments in the Province of Ontario;
- Five or more years of related experience;
- Ability to manage the demands of multiple concurrent projects and challenging deadlines;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel are essential. Experience with other data management software an asset.
- Ability to plan and deliver high quality reports, have strong technical writing skills and can present information concisely and clearly.
- Understanding of budget management, report preparation, and client relationship management.
- Working knowledge with Ontario Regulation 153/04, as amended, and O.Reg. 406/19.
- Flexibility to travel periodically. Possess a valid Ontario G License.
