Job Description

What is the opportunity?
This is a six month contract with potential for a full time position thereafter.
As an Inside Wholesaler, you will prospect and cultivate new relationships and enhance existing relationships with insurance advisors, with the goal of increasing the sales of RBC Insurance products for one of the territories within the Western region.

What will you do?

• Partner with Sales Consultant to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with defined sales targets

• Proactively contact insurance advisors to gain information and insight into their practices

• Establish relationships with marketing staff of key producers/MGAs.

• Provide insight and sales ideas related to the insurance industry, product knowledge & system training (BIC, Illustrations, etc.) 

• Position RBC Insurance products & solutions to prospects & existing clients – as well as identifying cross selling opportunities

• Advance the sales process with new prospects by booking presentations and meetings for the Sales Consultants

• Maintain contact management system and develop follow-up strategy for newly contracted brokers, thank-you for large cases, etc.

What will you need to succeed?

• Living Benefits product knowledge/experience

• Understanding of competitive landscape and marketplace

• Life Insurance License, LLQP (mandatory required within first 4 months of role)

• Post-secondary education

• Excellent organizational skills – able to respond to inquiries, suggestions, complaints and requests in a timely, courteous & professional manner.

• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal in English.

• Driver’s license and vehicle mandatory
