Job Summary

The Human Resources Student Intern will support the HR team in a dynamic environment, contributing to strategic initiatives in talent management, learning and development, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The intern will gain hands-on experience with various HR tools, data analytics, and hybrid workforce practices, while collaborating across HR functions to drive organizational impact. The ideal candidate is adaptable, tech-savvy, and passionate about creating a positive employee experience.

What you will do:

  • Provide administrative and project support to the HR team, leveraging internal AI tools for process automation and data analysis.

  • Conduct research on current HR trends, including skills-based hiring, employee well-being, and learning and development trends.

  • Support EDI initiatives, including data collection and analysis, education, and awareness campaigns to foster an inclusive and psychologically safe workplace.

  • Assist in coordinating meetings, virtual events, and learning programs, ensuring a positive experience.

  • Participate in recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing, job postings on digital platforms, and promoting the organization’s employee value proposition.

  • Contribute to compliance and recordkeeping efforts, utilizing secure digital systems for documentation and reporting.

  • Engage in cross-functional HR projects, supporting talent strategy, employee engagement, and organizational culture initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support managers and team members in a fast-paced, evolving HR environment.

What you will bring:

  • Enrollment in a post-secondary program in Human Resources or a related field.

  • Strong digital literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), HRIS platforms, and AI-driven tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret HR metrics, and communicate insights effectively.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with an understanding of EDI principles and practices.

  • Professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in handling sensitive business and employee matters.

  • Willingness to learn, innovate, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and employee well-being.

 

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $21.00 to $31.00

 

The actual hourly rate offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
