Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Assistant

We are currently seeking candidates to join our team, in the role of Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Assistant located at our head office in Saint John, New Brunswick.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • 1-2 years previous experience in the fields of continuous improvement, training, health, or human resources
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced, team environment, with a strong sense of urgency and discretion
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be willing to successfully complete Drug Testing Certification Program
  • Microsoft Office Suite Program Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Sharepoint, MS Forms, Teams)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, purchase orders & requisitions for the CI and Health and Safety teams
  • Travel arrangements for team members
  • Provide support for Continuous Improvement team scheduling, planning, and supporting training events
  • Provide backup support for Health Services clinic as needed to cover vacations or other absences
  • Assist coordinating and communicating corporate wellness initiatives with wellness champions across the company
  • Liase with providers such as Employee Family Assistance Provider to provide programs to support employee health and wellness
  • Monitor trends and developments from safety organizations and workers’ compensation boards
  • Assist with reports and presentation preparation
  • Review and make adjustments to internal SharePoint / web sites
  • Other administrative functions as part of a dynamic team
