Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated Health and Safety Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations for our client in Fort McMurray, AB. This position is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, conducting risk assessments, implementing policies and procedures, and providing guidance and training to staff at all levels.

  • Location: Fort McMurray, AB Must be local to Fort McMurray area (this is not camp based FIFO role) 
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 40h per week
  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct structured field tours and assessments to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Report findings from field assessments and provide actionable recommendations to address safety concerns.
  • Provide professional expertise in EHS matters, offering guidance on best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and coach employees on safety protocols and procedures, fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Influence the organization to adopt and implement continuous improvement initiatives in safety practices.
  • Provide guidance on the use of various personnel safety tools, data, and work processes to facilitate continuous learning and improvement.
  • Support the business in developing, applying, and executing industry-leading EHS processes.
  • Deliver core EHS services to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • OHS Certificate
  • 5-10 years of experience in a safety advisory role.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and coach employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Certification in safety management or related field.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
  • Must be local to Fort McMurray area (this is not camp based FIFO role) 
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
