What is the opportunity?
Group Advantage is a comprehensive business at RBC that offers a variety of retirement savings products including Group RRSP’s, Deferred Profit Sharing Plans, and Pooled Retirement Pension Plans that are combined with expert advice and delivered in the convenience of the workplace. If you enjoy providing helpful, timely and relevant advice to “Sponsors” (commercial/corporate) clients along with their members, you can build a great future within Group Advantage.
Specific location is to be determined. Successful incumbent must be mobile within Southwestern Ontario.
What will you do?
- Maximize client interactions through Sponsor relationship and new member acquisition through appointment bookings in the workplace
- Gain sponsor engagement and commitment for Personal Financial Advice appointments with each employee
- Complete a Financial Wellness Plan with the sale of all Group plans establishing the frequency and nature of employee engagement sessions at Sponsor site
- Effectively transition the Sponsor relationship to the Relationship Manager after the initial plan set up phase
- Focus on getting work right the first time and take appropriate action in response to close gaps identified through operational, compliance reviews and reporting evaluations
- Build and cultivate a strong network of internal partners across Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management
- Organize and participate in community and corporate events to build awareness of Group Advantage
- Coordinate employee enrolment and advice events with Branch partners, Career Sales Force, and RBC Group Advantage Relationship Managers (where required).
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits, Group RRSP Plans, Group Investment Accounts and group client agreements and documents for client set up
- Highly polished sales and relationship building skills to guide discovery, negotiation and closing interactions with corporate clients
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of group plan tools, learning resources, policies, marketing resources
- Bilingual (English/French), would be considered an asset
