Irving Tissue is seeking Converting Crew Leader for future opportunities. Roles will be based out of Fort Edward, New York (1 Eddy Street, 12828) and the primary responsibilities will include managing, leading, and motivating an operating crew to deliver results in key areas of safety, quality, productivity, service, asset and human resources objectives, and continuous improvement. Start date is flexible, selected applicants may begin October 2023 – January 2024.

Job Requirements
- 4-7 years of manufacturing and supervisory experience combined.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in lieu of supervisor experience will be considered.
- Strong leadership skills, team oriented, and effectively engages others in dealing with problems and solutions
- Lean Sigma experience is an asset
- Ability to teach, mentor, coach, develop, delegate, and follow-up
- Enjoys fast pace and multiple competing priorities
- Operational, hands on – possesses ability and willingness to help solve problems
- Solid understanding of converting systems and business processes preferred and should include Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a safe work environment
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees to pursue continuous development and continuous improvement
- Recommend upgrades and design considerations for converting operations improvements
- Develop and mentor technicians to increase capability to achieve higher levels of operational responsibility
- Support the site in carrying out long range plans, objectives, and activities (ex. installation and startup of new converting equipment)
