Job Summary:

You are an experienced Fuel & Lube Technician who takes pride in maintaining production equipment to ensure its efficiency and safety. In addition, you maintain a high degree of cleanliness on the job.

Essential Responsibilities: 
  • Operate fuel/lube trucks to safely service heavy equipment as required and directed 
  • Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities 
  • Complete equipment inspections, report repairs required and assist in scheduling these repairs
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members 
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience as a Fuel & Lube Technician on heavy equipment 
  • Knowledge of parts and servicing of Caterpillar, John Deere & Komatsu equipment types
  • Class 3 License is a mandatory requirement
  • Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification 
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing

Work Conditions: 

  • Applicants who reside in BC or Ontario will be given preference due to the locations of these projects (Kitimat, BC & Rainy River, Ontario)
  • Must be open to night shifts
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Benefits provided by CLAC – extended health plan (prescription drugs, dental, and other coverage)
