FISHING GUIDE – RESTIGOUCHE RIVE

J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking an experienced Fishing Guide, for its Fishing Lodges on the Restigouche River in Northern NB, for the upcoming fishing season. The position is seasonal and will start and finish depending on the weather.

•    A term employment from June until October. 
•    Work outdoors in one of the province’s most scenic areas

The Job:
•    Working remotely and guiding Atlantic Salmon fisherman in boats or wading
•    Working as a team player, maintaining the sites where we operate
•    Interacting and maintaining positive public relations with guests
•    Safely handling and returning Atlantic Salmon to the river
•    Ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained where we operate
•    Communicating and supporting all anglers regardless of skill level
•    Ability to be flexible and travel to remote locations

Your Qualifications:
•    Customer Focused
•    Outgoing
•    Previous river guiding experience considered an asset
•    A passion for NB rivers and Atlantic Salmon
•    Available to work on a rotating schedule which includes evenings and weekends.
•    Motivated to work with minimal supervision.
•    Committed to top performance in a safe work environment.
•    Willing and able to work remotely
•    Valid NB Guide 1 License 
•    Valid class 5 driver’s license.
•    Valid boating license in NB
•    Team player
