FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN - Saint John

Chandler Alarm and Communications Division is growing and currently searching for an Experienced Fire Alarm Technician for our Saint John and Moncton locations.

Responsibilities:

 

·         Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems.

·         Preparation, assembly, programming set-up and verification of new fire alarm systems

·         Experience in programming fire panels would be an asset.

·         Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537

·         CFAA certified would be an asset but not necessary.

·         Experience with Special Hazards Suppression System would be an asset.

·         Capable of preparing detailed reports and inspection documentation

·         Experience in programming fire panels would be an asset.

·         Use of specialized test tools.

·         Comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, as well as to lift 50+ lbs.

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills.

·         Self-motivated with a strong focus on excellent customer service.

·         Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

WHAT SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

·         Grade 12 Certificate

·         Experience in Fire Alarm installations would be an asset.

·         Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program is considered an asset.

·         Relevant industry experience is considered an asset.

·         Working at heights and with ladders

·         Ability to travel to other areas of the region when required (not frequent)

·         Satisfactory Criminal Background check

·         Must have a clean criminal record, and a valid Driver's license.
