Finance Analyst (FP&A) – Danone Canada

 

Mission: Reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Finance Manager, the Financial analyst will be responsible for delivering timely financial information & insights to inform strategic decisions. Your main mission will be to perform month-end closing, prepare various reporting for the Group and internally, and produce variance analyzes to drive decision making and performance measurement. Your main interactions will be with the Canadian and North American Finance teams.

 

More specifically:

  • Perform month-end closing activities, reconcile our various systems, participate in reviews & provide variance analysis
  • Support the Sr. Finance Manager in the preparation of rolling forecasts, financial models & strategic 3-year plans while providing strategic insights & analysis
  • Assist in building Free cash flow projections/KPIs while analyzing Working Capital variations
  • Support finance & non finance partners by providing analysis & information in a timely manner
  • Responsible for proactively identifying risks and opportunities within Marketing & Overhead budgets.
  • Participate in the preparation of presentations for local and North American leaders.
  • Participate & support in projects that evolve our way of working & provide continuous improvements to the FP&A team & the business
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial information and upholding corporate policies and control of assets within areas of responsibility.
  • Continually evaluate and challenge financial processes and reporting practices; implement changes as needed

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting;
  • CPA or MBA designation (or in the process of being awarded) is an asset;
  • 0-2 years of experience, including experience in financial analysis;
  • Very good command of Excel (including advanced formulas & PowerQuery) and ability to manipulate a large amount of data from various information systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a context of tight deadlines;
  • Autonomy, rigor, method and organization;
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
  • Relational skills, good listening skills and ability to influence;
  • Ability to identify solutions and take on new challenges.

 

While not required, it would be great if you have:

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Power BI,
  • Good Financial modelling skills
  • Technology & Data driven mindset with an interest in continuous improvement & automation
  • Prior experience in CPG/FMCG environments
