A multi-award winning facility, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) has earned a solid reputation as North America’s leading Convention Centre, and has held over 18,000 events and hosted over 55 million guests since opening for business in October 1984. Covering over 2 million square feet, the MTCC is Canada’s largest convention facility, boasting seven exhibit halls, two large capacity ballrooms, and a beautiful 1,232 seat theatre among its many assets. It also houses 70 fully furnished meeting rooms, and 167,000 square feet of beautifully decorated pre-function spaces.
The MTCC is conveniently connected to Toronto’s Union Station railway and transit station through the Skywalk and is also accessible via the city’s underground PATH system.

The ideal candidate will work closely with our clients and exhibitors to ensure they have a seamless, successful event.
Job Description
- Administrative duties including receiving, verifying, entering and completing exhibitor orders for Cleaning, Parking and Telecommunications.
- Checking credit information, posting payments and updating the Ungerboeck System with the required orders for these departments.
- Dealing with show managers to ensure they have all of the necessary documents for their exhibitors well in advance, collecting exhibitor lists from them and building an ongoing relationship with them
- Calling and e-blasting exhibitors for all assigned shows
- Creating and maintaining files for assigned shows
- Confirming show information by reading event resumes and attending event pre-conference meetings
- Posting and reconciling payments for the Telecommunications, Cleaning and Parking Departments.
- Closing show orders and entering information into a post conference report
- Sales duties in our Business Centre – including cash handling, up selling, shipping, etc.
Job Skills and Requirements
The successful candidates must have excellent customer service, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Can demonstrate accuracy in data inputting, is detail oriented, and can work both independently and harmoniously as a team member in this strong team-oriented department. A background in hospitality would be a benefit.
Computer skills in Word, Excel and Ungerboeck would be an asset.
