How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Identify client objectives and expectations and make recommendations accordingly
- Manage bookings calendar with prospective and definite events
- Coordinate event details, menu plan, and other requirements
- Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders during the event planning process
- Coordinate and communicate all event set-up and dismantling logistics
- Create, control and maximize event budgets
- Carry out site inspections throughout the planning process to ensure compliance with customer standards
- Coordinate orders and rentals with external vendors
- Accurately complete financial billing processes
- Evaluate overall event success and report results
- Other duties as assigned and operationally required
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- 1-3 of experience in event management, preferably in hotel or conference centres
- Bilingual in French & English is a strong asset
- Exceptionally service oriented
- Well-organized multi-tasker
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship builder
- Software skills include Delphi, Social Tables, Microsoft Office
- Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative, running projects from start through to completion with minimal oversight
